Planning Equine Photoshoot Outfits with Clothes You Already Have
So you just booked your equine photoshoot (yay!) but now you’re not sure what to wear. You run to your closet, rip open the door and frantically tear clothes from the hangers flinging them into a giant pile in the middle of your room. After the frenzied look for an outfit has officially finished possessing your body you look down at the mess you made and think one thing… “I don’t have anything to wear!” Let’s be honest, I think we’ve all experienced that once whether it was for a first date or a special event, sometimes we look at our clothes and see all the reasons why they wouldn’t work. However, we are our own worst critics so it’s easy to see the worst in things when it comes to our appearance. All I ask is that you take a step back and really analyze what you have because I’m sure there’s a perfect outfit just waiting for you.
Now, this may be self-explanatory but go with your current favorite outfit. I feel like we all have the one outfit that’s our go-to, so go with that. Even your favorite top paired with a simple pair of jeans or vice versa is always a good choice.
Layer! Layer! Layer! Layering is always a nice option, especially for those chillier shoots. Adding a vest or a cute jacket can be a great way to freshen up your wardrobe or outfit choices.
Mix & Match (old & new)
- If your wardrobe needs just a little updating, mix and matching can be an awesome way to do so. For example, if you have a really cute pair of jeans but none of the tops you have are what you’re looking for, you can buy a new top to freshen it up. This way you’re not buying a whole new outfit and you’re saving money.
Borrow From a Friend
- Ask a friend or family member to shop through their closet to see if they have what you’re looking for before you go shopping! My mom and I steal each other’s clothes all the time, whether it’s a shirt, pair of jeans, or a sweatshirt, we’re constantly looking through each other’s closets.
Show clothes
- Now, this may only work for my western riders but you can even pair your simple show shirt with some jeans and it can give a really classic look!
